‘On a mission to reduce emissions in New Zealand’  The Climate Leaders Coalition was launched in July 2018 to promote business leadership and collective action on the issue of climate change. On a mission to reduce emissions in Aotearoa, 104 chief executives have so far signed the join statement, which commits their organizations to take voluntary action on climate change. The coalition’s goal is to help New Zealand transition to a low emissions economy and, in doing so, create a positive future for New Zealanders, business and the economy. The coalition also represents a unique opportunity for businesses to work together and learn from each other to reduce their emissions.Organisations from all sectors of the economy are represented in the coalition and together the signatories make up more than half of New Zealand’s gross emissions. The coalition demonstrates the significant leadership direction being taken by businesses on the issue of climate change. By signing up to the coalition, Tredsafe voluntarily commits to:-          Measure and report our emissions (undertaking the CEMARS certification to do this)-          Set a public emissions reduction target consistent with keeping within 2 degrees of warming-          Work with our suppliers to reduce their emissions Tredsafe have been recently awarded the CEMARS certification which involves accurately measuring the company’s greenhouse gas emissions and then putting in place strategies to manage and reduce impacts.   You can read more here,
