Project Review: Newmarket Westfield

Westfield has recently opened a new mall in Newmarket, Auckland. The $790 million dollar development has 230 shops, rooftop dining and 2800 carparks and Tredsafe was fortunate to be selected to supply the stairnosings throughout. Our distributor, Mobility Research Centre, completed the installation of over 2km of Tredsafe stair nosings over an 8 month period. In the emergency areas, AA122 with signal yellow was used and on other main stairways, AA125 with Neutral Black insert was used. The signal yellow insert provides extreme visibility to highlight the edge of the steps – ensuring the safety of shoppers. Meanwhile the Neutral Black insert matches with the black detailing of the railing and bannister on the rooftop dining precinct. Tredsafe’s stairnosings and inserts provide anti-slip properties for shoppers – especially the outdoor areas which are subject to rain.Check out the photos below:  Outside White + Wong’sNeutral Black Insert    Looking down from the rooftop on two flights of stairs     Along with tactile indicators, the stairnosings look smart against the dark grey tiles  Westfield Newmarket is open 9am – 7pm Saturday to Wednesday and 9am – 9pm on Thursday and Friday
