Pringle Park Bowling Club, located on Auckland’s Te Atatu Peninsula, is a traditional all men’s bowling club. All inclusive with a bar and natural grass green, the largest natural green in Auckland at 37 meters squared. Located next to the RSA, shops and eateries, the location is prime.
The club is home to a tight knit community of bowls enthusiasts, including Tredsafe's Local Production Supervisor Cory Morgan. Cory has been a member of Pringle Park since 2013, and has been on the committee for the past two years. Cory describes the atmosphere as social and relaxing – all ages are welcome!
Pringle Park Club members have previously conducted working bees to ensure the building and grounds are maintained. Cory saw the opportunity to add his own touch. He decided to propose the installation of Tredsafe AA140 along the wooden entrance ramp to the club, and AA122 on the club stairs.
The club caters for all ages, it was important that safety therefore was paramount. Wooden surfaces and ramps are a significant trip and slip hazard. Using AA140 Cory has added traction, the use of Lumitred has also allowed for added visibility in the dark.
The product has had raving reviews from Cory’s fellow bowlers; how awesome it glows in the dark and what a great idea it is, as many people said they would not have recognized the hazard until Cory pointed it out.
