Starship Children’s Health, opened in 1991 and is one of the first purpose-built children’s hospital in New Zealand and the largest in the country.

Tredsafe DT069 protective skirting trim has been used extensively throughout Starship hospital and has become the preferred choice for the Auckland District Health Board. Installed in corridors and rooms this product provides excellent wall protection and hassle-free coving for floor vinyl. Auckland’s Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) has unveiled Te Puawananga, a state-of-the-art centre aimed at revitalising interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among New Zealand’s youth.

Opened in May 2024, this cutting-edge centre represents the biggest investment in MOTAT’s visitor experience in a decade and four years of development.

Used in this project was the AA121 carpeted stair nosing profile alongside a 43mm neutral black insert.

Carlaw Park Student Village

The Stuart McCutcheon House, New Zealand’s largest new student housing project, opened in February 2023. Positioned on a prominent corner site, the final stage of Parnell’s Carlaw Park Student Village is located off Stanley Street close to the University of Auckland campus.

Used in stairways was the AA121 vinyl stair nosing profile along with a 43mm neutral black insert.

Turanga Christchurch Library

Christchurch, New Zealand

After Christchurch’s central library was severely damaged in the Canterbury earthquakes, a replacement library was identified as a key project to assist the revitalisation of the city centre and Cathedral Square. The building was designed to be a beacon, creating a vibrant edge to Cathedral Square and a dialogue between the civic space of the square and the activities within the library – particularly the key public space of the Community Area. 

Used on each stair is two strips of the AA231 stair nosing used with two 13mm neutral black insert. A classy safety element to prevent slips, trips and falls in the public space.
