New Zealand Green Building Council The New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) is a group of progressive businesses from all aspects of the building and property industry, with an aim to accelerate the development and adoption of market-based green building practices.Tredsafe are excited to announce that we have recently become a member of the Green Building Council in New Zealand. Active participation in the NZGBC can lead to business relationships and opportunities as well as the support of some of the most influential companies in the New Zealand property and construction sector. What is a ‘green’ building? A green building is one that is designed, built and operated in ways that reduce or remove any negative impact on the environment and the people using it.Green buildings make more efficient use of resources such as energy and water, and provide healthier environments for people to live and work in. Green building practices can also reduce construction and operation costs.With a stable membership of over 450 organizations, Tredsafe is proud be the most recent member to have joined a movement that supports sustainable building practices and healthier, happier people.
